Dhulikhel lies on the way to Araniko highway, was a trading route from Kathmandu to Lhasa in the past. These days, it delights the visitors with its enchanting cultural heritage and stunning Himalayan views.Bungamati /Khokana are the typical Newari settlements and you still find the unique way of life style and tradition.

Godavari Garden offers the Himalayan and exotic varieties of trees and shrubs, orchid houses and a herbarium in a quiet wooded setting. Dakshinkali is a shaktipeeth and there Hindu goes to worship and sacrifice animals whereas Pharping is a small valley enriched by lovely forest, monasteries, Padmasambhava cave and many other temples. Detail Itinerary

Day 01Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350 m) & Transfer to the HotelUpon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our representative from Himkala Adventure cordially greets you and transfers to hotel. After you get refreshed from jet lag, you can walk around Thamel and explore touristic area. Overnight at Kathmandu

Day 02Kathmandu World Heritage sightseeing. Overnight stay at Kathmandu hotel After breakfast, we begin our sightseeing and the first place we go to Swoyambhu, the monkey temple, perched on the top of the conical shaped hill, 77 m high from the ground level.From the hilltop setting, Swayambhunath offers the fine views over Kathmandu and the valley .Atop the soaring swell of the whitewashed dome, a gold-colored square block depicts the watchful eyes of the Buddha, which gaze out across the valley in each direction. There are five different elements from the nature, shown in five different places. After this, we drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square. Most of the interesting things to see in Kathmandu are clustered in the old part of town, focused around the majestic Durbar Square and its surrounding backstreets. The Hindu temples, Kumari House, neo-classical building, Old palaces, Basantapur – the open space for souvenir shops, many courtyards, and the tallest temple – Taleju Bhawani are the charming places to see there. Then we go to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world, situated inside where the houses surrounded it. It is built in Mandala shape or in lotus flower shape. Here is more Tibetan influence. The fourth place we visit is the Shiva temple where we can see the cremation, ritual bathers, people paying annual service to their deceased father or mother, many phallic symbols and half naked Sadhus. Finally , we return back to hotel . Overnight at Kathmandu

Day 03Bhaktapur sightseeing then go to Nagarkot (2,175 m). Overnight stay at Nagarkot Bhaktapur is the city to see old things from the medieval period. People compare Bhaktapur with the Chaucer’s England and Rabelais’s France. It is the best destination for the lovers to add one more color in the spectrum of their prism. Bhaktapur has streets paved with bricks in parquet patterns. The spacious courtyards, the artistic wooden work, the simple and smiling city dwellers give you an exotic impression. After the sightseeing of four main courtyards: Dattatraya Square, Taumadhi Square, Pottery Square, and Durbar Square, we head north to Nagarkot which is 20 km far from here. Viewing countryside and scenic beauty of the terraced farmland, we reach to Nagarkot – the city of forts, still popular for the military training camp. In fact, it was the trade route from Tibet. This is the paradise for the honeymooners. One can feel as if all the beauty from the nature has accumulated for the lovers here. The range of mountains, the hills, the village houses, the flora and fauna give thrill to them. Overnight at Nagarkot

Day 04Hike over the ridge from Telkot to Changunarayan then drive to Dhulikhel Wake up early in the morning, then see the sun rise and explore the place around. After breakfast, we descend down and drive till Telkot. From there we hike up to the ridge and walk to Changunarayan, the oldest Hindu Temple, listed in UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We visit the temple of Vishnu, and see the amazing Vishnu images in its courtyard. Then we drive to Dhulikhel.It is about 22 km from Changunarayan. Dhulikhel is a well-preserved town as well as a mountain viewpoint. The highlights of Dhulikhel include the central square of Narayanthan, The Bhagawati Temple, Kali Temple, Shiva Temple and the tower etc. Overnight at Dhulikhel

Day 05Drive back to Patan from Dhulikhel and go to Godavari Village Resort We can enjoy the sunrise, breathtaking views of adjacent hills with terraced farmlands. After breakfast, we drive back to Patan which is about 22 km from Dhulikhel. Patan known as Lalitpur is the “City of fine arts”. The city has maintained defiantly distinct identity. Compared to Kathmandu, it is quieter, less frenetic, and more Buddhist. The city remains proud of its great artists like Araniko, SiddhiRaj, and AvayaRaj etc. The Durbar Square holds three main chowks like Mul Chowk, Keshav Narayan Chowk, and Sundari Chowk. The Krishna Temple built in Chariot shape only by stones dominates the square. The Mani Mandap, Manga Hiti and other temples in the compound furnishes the Square. Patan Museum is the well organized museum in Southern Asia. After 15 minutes walk from Durbar Square, we can visit Banglamukhi temple and The Golden temple. Then we drive to Godavari Village Resort. It is about 10 km far from Patan and many outdoor enthusiasts flock here to enjoy the spectacular views and beautiful landscapes. We can visit the quaint town of Godavari like Thaiba and Harisiddhi along the way. The newly married couple for the honeymoon seeking quiet, nature gifted is this. Here is the Royal Botanical garden with an extravaganza of plants, trees, ferns, flowers and orchids. So, one can enjoy here in Godavari Village resort. Overnight at Godavari Village Resort

Day 06Drive from Godavari to Bungamati/Khokana and transfer to Hattiban Resort Today, after breakfast, we drive from Godavari Village Resort to Bungamati /Khokana, the typical Newari town outskirts of Ringroad. Bungamati is the hometown of the deity Machhindranath, regarded as the patron of the valley and his large shikara style temple in the center of the village square is his home for six months of the year; he spends the rest of his time in Patan. The process of moving him back and forth between Patan and Bungamati is one of the most important annual festivals in the valley. The Karya Binayak Temple, one of the most important temples in Nepal, is dedicated to Ganesha. The view is spectacular from the temple, which is surrounded by trees and large bamboo and overlooks the Bagmati valley to the foothills. Khokana is also similar like Bungamati with Newar dwellers. The houses and the living style is also the same. Khokana is famous for mustard oil. They still get the oil produced from wooden mill traditionally. The Rudrayani Temple is the main temple there. Then, we drive to Hattiban Resort, on the way to Dakshinkali that branch off about 3 km north of Pharping up to the hill. The resort offers 270 degrees view of the Kathmandu Valley. Its natural ambience created by semi tropical vegetation lures any lovers who wish to escape the hassle of the modern world. One can hike to Champa Devi (2,249 m). Overnight at Hattiban Resort

Day 07From Hattiban to Dakshinkali and drive back to Kathmandu After breakfast, we drive to DakshinKali Temple, the famous Hindu Goddess temple, where people sacrifice animals for their wish fulfilling. We can visit the Padmasambhava Cave and monastery at Pharping. We return back via Shesha Narayan and Chovar. Overnight at Kathmandu

Day 08Transfer to the Airport Your honeymoon trip Around Kathmandu ends today and you fly for the next destination. We depart you to the Airport 3 hours prior to your scheduled flight. If you have enough time before you fly or reach to the airport, we can help you guide to the bustling local market around Indrachowk, Asan, otherwise we leave you in the airport with warm greetings.
