“Get to know to the real Kathmandu”

Shiva was an amazing guide, we werent in town on the normal days he runs the tour so he offered to meet just the two of us for his walking tour on a Sunday. The walking tour itself was incredible, Shiva is incredibly knowledgable on the streets of Kathmandu and all the history of both the city itself and the different cultures that make it up. We went places we would have never thought we were actually allowed, got information on the ins and outs of the city and saw great little tucked away gems that we would have just walked past had we been on our own. Such a great way to be introduced to a city and get some context for your stay, highly recommended. If you are in a smaller group Shiva is also happy to tailor the tour to your interests. Complete legend and cannot recommend enough.

“Awesome free walking tour in Kathmandu”

The tour was recommended to me with the words "you have to do it, Shiva is the nicest person on earth" and I truly understand what was meant by it. It was an informative tour, open to any kind of questions, explaining a lot, but not too much though and Shiva was very nice and patient with our group. I highly recommend doing the tour to get a view on Kathmandu sighs and learn a bit about Nepali life.

“A pleasant surprise amongst the chaos of Kathmandu”

Shiva is a legend! One of the nicest people we have met during our stay in Nepal. He runs the only free walking tour in Nepal and is full of knowledge about the sites and history of the Nepalese people. We booked the day before as a last minute thing but was pleasantly surprise with how amazing the tour was. Nice to have a local to take us off the beaten track, we can say we are very lucky to have had shiva as our guide! If we knew shiva before we booked our poon hill trek we would definitely have had him as our guide! Keep up the good work shiva :)

“Stunning trek through the mountains! Unforgettable!”

A stunning way to explore the surrounding mountains of Kathmandu! Shiva was a wonderful tour guide with deep knowledge of the area and people.

Our trip began in Kathmandu where we were picked up by Shiva, then drove high up into the mountains. We began our hike down, trekking through the mountainside. We were greeted with "Namaste" by the adorable school children and local farmers. The trip took us trekking through the mountains to the ancient temples and sacred sites! We were awarded with amazing views of the valley and rice fields below. It was humbling to see the way of life of the local mountain people. They live quite differently from the western world—a truly eye opening experience.

The day tour was one of the best experiences from the trip, truly unforgettable. A must do for anyone visiting Nepal. I cant say enough about Shiva. He was so kind, personable, and an all around wonderful tour guide. Thank you Shiva!!
